Historic Charm and Luxury in the Cradle of American Golf: A Weekend Getaway to Pinehurst, NC

You likely know of Pinehurst, NC as a world class golf destination, most recently home to the men’s and women’s U.S. Open Championships in June. I love a game of miniature golf, but you’ll only find me on a real golf course if I’m watching a tournament with a glass of wine. But when I spotted a “drive to Pinehurst” sign at the Charlotte airport before the U.S. Open, I was intrigued to find out this historic spot is only about two hour drive from Charlotte.
