When Garden and Gun magazine posted a request via Facebook for advice from Southern fathers/grandfathers for Father’s Day – I immediately thought of my grandfather’Carl Carlson, He championed exercise and a cocktail (or 2) as the secrets to a long and healthy life – running into his 70’s and strictly observing happy hour at 6 o’clock each day. He passed away last year at age 98 – so his advice certainly proved its potency.
